Help Monica Ramos
Posted by The John and Ken Show @ 10:40 am

As if the Ramos family hasn’t been kicked around enough by the federal government, now their youngest son has been denied emergency room treatment for a serious kidney ailment. Funny how the illegal aliens get FREE care whenever they show up at the ER, and let’s not forget about the free medical treatment we gave to the illegal alien drug smuggler Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila! If you would like to send a card to Jacob Ramos, you can send it to:

Monica Ramos
P.O. Box 972925
El Paso, TX 79997

And if you would like to donate to the Ramos/Compean defense fund, send a check to:

BPA Legal Defense Fund
P.O. Box 47208
Tampa, FL 33647

All donations that are designated for Agents Ramos and Compean will be used to fund their legal defense and assist their families in their hour of need.

Five more Santa Monica molestation complaints investigated

The president of Santa Monica’s school board said Thursday that a “breakdown in communication” prevented the board from fully examining a 2006 complaint against a teacher who was charged this week with molesting five of his female students.

Oscar de la Torre, president of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District board, said he and other board members learned about the 2006 complaint only this week after Lincoln Middle School teacher Thomas Arthur Beltran, 60, was arrested. De la Torre said then-Principal Kathy Scott, who reported the allegations to police, is no longer with the district.

“There was a transition in leadership, and I think the communication [channels] suffered a breakdown,” De la Torre said. “The school board was never alerted to the allegations in 2006. . .

California tax proposals target beer-loving, pornography-watching yacht owners

SACRAMENTO — As state leaders hunt for politically palatable solutions to the swelling budget shortfall, some Democrats are proposing unorthodox ways to generate cash.

Strip clubs, six-packs, grocery bags and iTunes downloads are all in their sights as alternatives to broad income or sales tax hikes. So are gas guzzlers and yachts—and a tax loophole for criminals.

Despite tough odds of overcoming an oath signed by their Republican colleagues to stop any tax hikes, Democratic lawmakers seem confident that their ideas will carry the day. They predict the public won’t stand for painful cuts to schools and healthcare to close a shortfall the governor now pegs as high as $20 billion, and say anti-tax forces will ultimately have to accept that more revenue is needed to bring the state into the black. . .

Ken’s Movie Review

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS

If you’ve checked in on the NBA playoffs on TNT, it’s hard to avoid commercials for this movie. Do they really think we only watch about ten minutes of a game and wouldn’t be bothered by fifty plugs for this movie? Sort of made me root for this one to fail – well, it probably isn’t necessary for me to get involved, this one’s pretty flat without my help.

Jack and Joy are the crazy couple, played by Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz. It’s a case of opposites – she’s a career driven control freak, he’s a slacker. Dumped by her boyfriend, she heads to Vegas for a getaway. Dumped by his father, Jack does the same thing. Of course, they’re accompanied by their best buds, Tipper and Hader. Sorry, that’s the characters names – Tipper, played by Lake Bell (yeah, that’s her name), and Hader, played by Rob Corddry (yep, two “D’s”). Oh, these two are opposites too, but here’s something interesting – they’re funnier than Jack and Joy. And that is never a good sign for movie – when the “supporting” cast is more entertaining than the main stars. (more…)
